Graduation & India

The last I posted on my blog was almost a month back..! I went on a long break.. Firstly because I had exams the final paper I ever wrote for my university... & nothing could beat the feeling knowing that you have passed and are a Graduate.. The only thing remaining now for me to wear a black cap and ring in the official graduate tag..!

After my papers were done I went on a two weeks holiday to India & Dubai.. Now let me tell you a small secret about me and India. I have loved India since the first time I visited it in 1996! I was just 6 years old then but from that moment I have never loved any place as such except 1 which I will talk about in my next post :) I have a certain fondness for India.. Specially for Mumbai the city is always buzzing, it is called the NewYork of India because it is one city that never sleeps..Mumbai just brings a positive vibe in me and makes me go wild with its offerings. Ofcourse not forgetting I'm a die hard foodie, Mumbai had foods to die for though a bit spicy but amazing food... You can catch some glimpses of the amazing time I have had in India ..:)

After the food comes the night life.. We were situated around one of the busy hubs that is Hotel Suba Palace that was behind The Taj Hotel & gateway of India. So the place was always buzzing with cars people and parties and Ofcourse the ghoda gadi rides( horse cart rides) which are good to see the city during the night !

Over the years India has also developed fine artitecture which is worth looking at.. Like Mukesh Ambani's 27 storey house Antilia. It's nice to see how it's built in a busy cramped area but still shines out because of its gigantic structure.. Unfortunately I couldn't get to capture his building because I only saw it from the streets and you can't really take a picture unless you are out in the streets.. Which I wasn't..! But another iconic building I got to take a picture was of a hospital that looked more of a 5 start hotel than hospital.. But the hospital is a very good one indeed..! And this is the Seifee Hospital.. I have been inside and it is built amazingly and also it's very clean with known reputable doctors doing rounds of the hospital.
And from the picture you can see how the hospital is brightly lit up and shines the best..!!!

Next stop -> Ferrari..!
You must be wondering why I wrote next stop Ferrari.. That is because I actually saw a Ferrari.. While leaving Phoenix mall I saw this amazing red Ferrari parked outside the mall... It was an amazing sight and I'm a total car buff so seeing a Ferrari just made my day.. Check the pic of the Ferrari.
Oh but do I mention that it belonged to one the people from the film fraternity? It belonged to producer Bhushan Kumar of TSeries fame..;)

Pyaar Hua Iqraar Hua
That's exactly what I saw... Mumbai is having its monsoon season and it's cute to see couples sitting under an umbrella on the famous Chowpatty area near the Bandra sea link. Seeing the rain and umbrella and the couples the only song that rings on my mind is that of Raj Kapoor Pyaar Hua Iqrar Hua .. And it's a very soulful melody that matches perfectly with the weather. I managed to snap a cute picture of a couple shielding themselves with the umbrella ..;)

And now comes the indianess in me.. Thanks to a very sweet friend Firoza she took us to shooting sets of tv drama's and we met actors and actresses... Oh and Firoza herself is an actress too.. How we met you'll know in the next post after this :) for now I can only say I loved the whole experience of swing how shooting is done n how things are portrayed on tv..

And finally the highlight of my India trip was the MALAA
You must be wondering what mala is .. Before I tell you what Mala is you need to be introduced to my friend Zeeshan.. I was fortunate to have a mate in Mumbai that I met in Malaysia during my study period and he went on to become one of my good buddies.. And a visit to Mumbai would surely be incomplete without meeting him.. And so two day before my departure I met him and he introduced me and my brothers to his amazing friends and those two days became the best days of our lives.. The fun we had in two days was unbelievable and felt like I knew his friends forever.. His friends were just like him fun, hospitable , crazy and loving.. And this is how I met Firoza..I'm a sheesha fan and this lot love to do sheesha as well and so hukka has been banned all over Mumbai and that's how these guys created their Mala which translates to nothing really but just a place where you can chill and relax.. So the last two night of my India trip were spent at the Mala with some amazing people..:)
" They say it takes a lifetime to find good and true friends, but I found a lifetime of friends in two days" thank you zee & the crew for making great memories for me whilst my stay in India..:)
And finally it was time to say goodbye to India & it's amazing people and culture.. :) it was sad but nevertheless filled with lot of memories..:)
And oh our trip ended with spotting a tv actor at the airport.. We sported the actor Omi Vaidya at Mumbai airport who was on the same flight as us. For those of you who don't know Omi was seen on 3 idiots Indian movie as Chatur:)
All's well that ends well..
